Tour de Gendres, Cantalouette 2022

Flag of France

Established in 1925 by Italian expat, Vincenzo de Conti, Tour de Gendres is now into its fourth generation of family ownership. Located in the heart of Bergerac in south-western France; where grapes have been planted in the Tour de Gendres fields since the 12th Century. But in-keeping with modern times, they are now a fully biodynamic and organic certified winery, focussing on living life well, and making awesome wine in the process. Cantalouette 2022 is a blend of 50% Merlot, 25% Cabernet France and 25% Malbec. The nose has intense aromas of black plum, red cherry and sweet spices with a hint of vanilla. The palate is round and spicy with notes of cassis and dark chocolate, with a delicate floral note on the long finish. A great pair with roasted red meats or blue cheese.
